How we help churches and nonprofits

We know God is using you to impact the world. We’re here to help others see it too. Because each project is unique, so are our services.

Are you wanting photography coverage for a Sunday service or special event? We can do that for you. It could be one time, monthly, or quarterly. We could work on a special project capturing an initiative you’re working on. If you have a multi-day event, we’d love to be there capturing moments and delivering live content for your social media team. At the end of each project, you will receive high resolution images, web resolution images, and a collection of cropped square images for your socials (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

Not only do we love taking photos, we love teaching others how to as well. Do you have a photography team, or are you wanting to develop one? We’d love to provide individual coaching and training/workshops for team leaders and volunteer photographers. Spreading our passion is just as important to us as living it out.

An important note on using pictures of people

Respect is important to us, and it’s important to the people in your pictures. The people attending your church or volunteering for your nonprofit might wholeheartedly support your mission, but you can’t use their image to represent you without their written permission. That’s why photo releases are required when working with us. A photo release is a written document that gives you permission to legally use a photo of someone for promotional purposes. Getting permission from everyone in your photos can seem like a huge task; but, when it comes to legal issues, it’s better to be prepared and protected. The Supreme Court has long ruled that people have a reasonable expectation of privacy. This expectation extends to all privately owned spaces including churches, event venues, homes, and offices.

We get it—gathering releases feels daunting, but we’re here to help. We use digital releases and they’re super easy! All you need to do is send a link to the people who will be attending your event. If you need help figuring out what to say, we can provide communication templates. Once your attendees get the link, they will be able to access the form and sign it. After it’s signed, the release will allow you to use the photos we take for things like websites, social media, brochures, signs, or posters. Our goal is to provide high-quality photography while also keeping you and your organization protected.

Are you insured?

Absolutely! Our liability insurance covers up to a million dollars. So don’t worry, we’ve got it covered.


How long will it take to get my photos?

Sounds like you’re just as excited as we are! We deliver all images within three weeks of your event or project. For clients who need real-time event coverage for social media, we offer live image delivery as an add-on. This means that as we are taking high quality photos, we will also be sending them over to your social media team so they can share what’s happening, as it’s happening. Who doesn’t love instant updates?


Do you give a license to all my photos?

We include complete commercial licensure with all our packages. This allows you to use the photos for your own communication and marketing purposes.


Will you photoshop _____?

We all want to look our best. We get it. Part of hiring a professional and high quality photographer is that we know our stuff. We know flattering angles, good lighting, and great poses. Know that if something is a huge distraction, we will take care of it. Photoshopping requests are the exception—not the rule.


How do I reserve you for my date?

Are we on our way to becoming best friends? Once we receive your signed contract and non-refundable (but fully transferable!) retainer fee, we’ll reserve your dates.


What if I need to reschedule?

Hey, life happens. We know plans change, people get sick, and projects shift. If you need to reschedule, we are happy to work with you to adjust.


How many photos will I get?

It depends! Typically we deliver 50-150 images for every hour we’re actively photographing.


Do you charge for travel expenses?

We want to visit you wherever you are! If we travel farther than 100 miles round-trip though, we need to fairly compensate our photographers for that additional time. We will build this into your project quote.


Can we pay via credit card?

You bet. We accept checks or online payments via credit cards. Just know that if you’d like to make an online payment, we will have to add a 3% service fee of the total invoice to your final payment. Rather than build this into the budget from the start, we want to give you the option to save a little money and send a check.


What is your pricing like?

Short answer: It’s custom for each project.
Long answer: We know budgets are tight for many nonprofits and churches (we’ve been there). Because of this we keep our prices below market value to make them as affordable as possible. Since we already offer below-market-value prices, we don’t offer any additional discounts. We will calculate your project cost by considering factors such as planning, consulting, hours or days spent on site, editing photos, travel time (if applicable), and other services.
